How do I receive my free vehicle transport quote?
You can obtain a quote by clicking on the
“Free Quote” link on the home page, send us an email at Quotes@allstarautoshippers.com, or call our offices at toll free 1-877-355-SHIP or 1-877-355-7447 during our normal business hours. Our Transport Specialists are trained to ask the right questions which relate to your move. They will review your quote request so we can accurately price your vehicle transport. Pricing your transport is calculated by a few factors. The origin of pickup, destination of delivery, vehicle make and model, and the type of truck requested (open or enclosed). This information is required to obtain a valid transportation quote. Our representatives will never charge you more than is necessary to get the job done. The quote you receive is the price you pay! NO HIDDEN FEES! All quotes are an all-inclusive price. This means that the door-to-door service, insurance, and fuel surcharge is included. If you are shopping around and receive quotes that are reasonable, All Star will not only meet that quote, but we will try to beat it too! When shopping around make sure to ask if the quotes other companies are giving you are a base price or if it is all inclusive. May other companies will give you the base price to get your business then add on extra charges after you have already committed to the order. Then when you want to cancel, they keep you deposit. So you pay for something you never get.

How much notice in advance is necessary before the pickup of my vehicle?
We recommend that you schedule your move as soon as possible to insure that your vehicle is moved within the time frame which best meets your schedule. On average, we are able to have a transporter assigned and on route to pick-up your vehicle within one week of the date the vehicle is first available for pick-up. Scheduling your order in advance is helpful however not necessary for a successful relocation. In order to schedule a driver for your desired pickup dates please allow at least one weeks notice for all nationwide transports. Up to two weeks notice may be required for some less traveled routes. Local and in-state moves can be scheduled with as little as two to three days notice. Dispatching a pickup same or next day is also available with our expedited services. Expedited service is available for asap orders that must be transported within a ten day period of time. This service costs an additional $200 to $300 an order. What forms of payment are accepted?
An initial deposit is placed with the order for All Star to begin working on your order. For deposits we accept all major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept deposit payment in the form of a cashiers check or money order which can be mailed to our offices. The balance of the payment is the quoted amount less the amount already paid for a deposit. For balance due on delivery drivers accept cash, cashiers check, money order, or certified check made out in the name of the Motor Carrier Company. No personal checks will be accepted for the deposit or the balance that will need to be paid to the driver.

Customers also have the option of paying for the order in full when they place the order with an All Star representative. If you would like to pay for the transport in full, there is an additional 3% processing fee added to the original quoted price. This form of payment is available but not recommended because the processing fee is not refundable at any time. This means that even if the customer cancels the order, only the quoted amount will be refunded.

How can I fill out my shipping order?
Shipping orders can be placed over the phone by calling or offices during business hours at toll free 1-877-355-SHIP or 1-877-355-7447. Customers can also book orders online through our secure website. Please have your quote reference number available when placing your order. Once your order has been processed and confirmed, an All Star representative will contact you with your auto transport order details.

Is my vehicle insured during transport?
YES! All Star Auto Shippers holds a certificate of insurance for the drivers that transport your vehicle. This means that All Star is guaranteed by the insurance company directly that the coverage amounts and policy dates are valid during transport. Insurance companies also notify All Star immediately if the coverage policy has changed in any way, even if the carrier has not yet reported the change to All Star. Open-trailer transport drivers carry an average of $1 Million in liability and minimum $250,000 of cargo coverage. Enclosed-trailer transport is covered at a minimum of $1 Million in liability and average $500,000 in cargo, per unit. All Star will NEVER dispatch a vehicle to a driver that does not have sufficient insurance to cover the value during transport. Insurance for international shipping is calculated by the claimed value of the vehicle. This means that the vehicle will be insured for the value you wish to state is the worth of the vehicle. The insurance is then calculated as a percentage of that worth. This added insurance is only for the transport overseas. The truck insurance from your door at the pickup origin to the port of export is included in the quote price at no extra charge. Door-to-Door service means that the driver comes directly to the address provided in your shipping order for both pickup and delivery. This means that you are not required to drop off the vehicle at a terminal in another city. The driver may ask you to meet at a nearby intersection or a large parking lot to safely load and offload the vehicle if the truck is not permitted to enter the residential area. This may be because the truck is restricted to enter residential streets due to the trucks heavy weight, low-hanging trees, or the street is too narrow for the driver to safely maneuver the truck and trailer. All these arrangements will be made prior to pickup and/or delivery.   

How long does it take to have my vehicle transported?
The duration of your transport depends mostly on the location of origin and destination. Nationwide transports from cost to cost (East to West or West to East) take an average of 10 to 14 days. Costs to mid-land transports take an average of 5 to 7 days. Transit time from northern to southern or southern to northern states takes an average transit time of 3 to 7 days. Travel time depends on a few factors. Drivers are regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) as to how many hours they are allowed to be driving on the road and a required amount of hours they must rest on their trip. The number of days until delivery also depends on how many stops the driver will have on his route from the origin to the destination. If a driver makes one pickup and a straight trip to its delivery point the number of days is cut down by almost half. Another factor is the number of drivers per truck. If there is only one driver, the standard trip time applies. Sometimes there are team drivers, two drivers, for the truck. This means that they can do double the time because one can drive while the other rests and they can switch off with virtually no downtime. Some other contributing factors are weather, traffic, and maintenance stops. Drivers will need to stop for regular truck maintenance and at times may need to wait overnight for parts to be shipped. Please keep in mind that pick-up dates and delivery times are not guaranteed. All Star representatives will notify you of your driver’s schedule and estimated arrival date. Transit times are also based on the average of past trips on similar routes. Guaranteed and immediate pick-ups are available at an additional cost.

How do I know where my vehicle is while it is being transported?
All Star’s representatives contact the driver’s dispatcher, the person in charge of checking in with the driver while on route, to update the trucks’ locations every other day. Customers are welcome to call our offices during business hours or email up for order updates. Customers will also be given the name and phone number of the driver or the driver’s dispatcher one the vehicle has been dispatched for contact. If there are any changes of dates for the pickup or delivery, drivers are instructed to notify customers on both pickup and delivery ends as well as All Star right away.

When will I be contacted for the time and date for pickup and delivery of my vehicle?
Drivers are instructed to contact customers 24 hours and a again a few hours before pickup and delivery. When calling the day before the driver will notify the customer the projected time of pickup or delivery for the following day. The driver will also call the day of the pickup and delivery once again to confirm a time window for arrival. If there are any changes due to weather or traffic conditions, the driver will inform the customer of delays. Try to maintain a flexible schedule for the day the driver is to deliver your vehicle. Please do not take the day off of work or cancel prior engagements based on previous projected delivery dates.

Do I need to be present at the time of pickup and/or delivery?
We strongly recommend that you be available at either the pickup or delivery as the primary customer. If this is not possible, customers will be required to designate someone who must be present at the time of pickup at the origin location and delivery at the destination location. It is then the responsibility of the customer to properly inform the designated parties of inspection procedures. An inspection of the vehicle will be made at both locations and signed paperwork will be processed. The Bill of Lading (BOL) will be marked on by the driver indicating any existing damages the vehicle already has. Once the origin customer has agreed to the condition report, the BOL is then signed by both the customer and the driver. An inspection is performed once again at the delivery destination location. It is at this time the delivery customer’s responsibility to once again perform a thorough condition report of the vehicle. The customer must note on the BOL if there are any damages which may have occurred during transport. Payment must also be prepared for the driver by the delivery/destination designated customer. The balance must be paid by cash, cashiers check, or money order made out in the driver’s carrying company name. If the designated customer on the delivery end does not have the funds for paying the driver, the vehicle will be placed in storage at the customer’s expense until the balance (plus storage fees) has been paid. Drivers will NOT accept personal check as a form of payment.
